Small letter.

If you look on the Goodyear label, just below the size it is designated SL which would indicate the W/L size.

My 79 Formula came from Norwood and probably came with Uniroyals ( warranty lit in glove box ). Do you realy think if they are reproduced with modern manufacturing they would still be crappy?

Sorry Jim but in my opinion only, I do think so. Even reproduced I think they'd be to the same standards as back then. Hopefully not tho for those that want them. Just my . BTW... up where I was Uniroyals were dangerous in the snow.... poor traction as far as I was concerned. My Formula was a daily driver even in the rotten winters we had, and back in then we had some real bad ones.

To me the best looking tires on a TA, or GTO even, are BFGs and Goodyears.

The tires are made with modern rubber compounds but the correct tread design and sidewall optics. I will tell everyone that this tire should not be a problem as it goes through the same process of testing as the radials that are on your cars or truck today. If you have any questions about the tires, feel free to contact me.

Just put my second set on a '79.

First set went on the 2009 class winner at the TA Nats...hoping the second set does the same at the 2011 Nats.

OK, I guess that means Speciality Tire makes them, Kelsey distributes them.

QGR P225/70R15LTR appears on my build sheet from behind the rear seat on my 79 WS6 Formula - what tires would that correspond to?

I quizzed a couple of the people that I know about this and it appears that it is a designation for a RWL tire of that size, but it does not designate a specific brand.

I don't know where my 77 was assembled, it came w/ Goodyears. I drove my car civil, planned on keeping it low miles (that didn't happen...) 20,000 miles and they were junk, also...
