The decals are done for the freedom and freedom II Battery, and the large decal fir the front is done too, the caps should be soon. Anyone wanting just decals, pm me.
So this is 3 decals for the top, 1 for the front. The warning decal has the correct # of battery for the firebird, taken off my orig battery and from the Delco literature.

Someone on Ebay is selling decals off the freedom battery radio, watch what you buy. They are wrong and the wrong size

Well, I figured if no one will make a reproduction Of the Delco Freedom  II battery, I'll just make one.  Started with buying Delco Freedom decals from a member, then found pictures of original Freedom II batteries, had decals made up locally and gave it a shot. After all my T/A is a "Bandit" clone so might as well have a clone battery.

The Freedom Cap Kits are done, they look awesome rite down to the vent in each side and the green eye under Plexi Glass. same kit will work for a top post battery too.I asked GM Herritage center for a timeline, they said 1978 was the start of the Freedom II's. email me if your interested, kit has 2 CNC made caps, 3 decals for the Freedom, 4 for the Freedom II's. comes copmlete ready to paint blue, kit has 2 pcs. of plexi cut for the green eye, one just slightly larger to look correct. alot of time went into this mock-up. just paint the caps blue and silicone or two way tape them on. use the same paint for the Battery Top, unitedfbody1@gmail.com prices to follow i will be placing an order soon.

I know this is an older thread but in case you are interested BURD, I can scan these decals in along with a ruler for scale if they are of any use to you.

I just posted this in my '73 thread:

Look what I just found. Early Christmas present from a member over at Yenko.net who collects old Delco stuff. It's an original display model (no internal plates).

While it is not year correct for the SD it would be for Gramma's '75. I have seen some of the factory stock appearing racers remove the bottoms and install a motorcycle-sized AGM battery inside and run them as a "decoy" battery.

Freedoms were optional in '77.

The R89WP battery topper I made from an original battery that was dated for 1977 in my Trans Am...

I'll be on this in the new year. I gotta set up a meeting at the guys shop to go over the caps, and I also found a new guy to do the two diff decals. I'll post when I get news. I am able to ship Páint but your local hobby shop prob has it, it's a pain shipping it. Thanks for the input.

Sorry to say it but that's not what the original Delco battery looked like in my 79 Formula. Yes it had the green eye, but the case and top were both black.

I should have Toppers in a month, complete w/ Eye, molded in blue plastic.
Freedom and Freedom II
Something is off on the middle pic, the eyes didn't look like that. I have my old Freedom battery.
