Default 1967 GTO

1967 GTO. $10,500 obo

Factory Burgundy with black interior, 4 speed, 355 non posi, bucket seat, with deluxe seat belts. Am radio, non air, non console.

Partially restored, but needs finished.

Heres whats been done so far:

Body removed from frame, cleaned and painted.
Lower Front fenders patched
new springs front and back
polyurethane bushings in control arms
New ball joints and tie rod ends
New shocks
New calipers, brake pads, backing plates, ball joints, rotors, and rubber lines in the front
New drums, wheel cyninders, springs, and shoes in the back
New Eaton 8.2 posi with 390 gears
Prebent stainless steel fuel and brake lines
Frame and rear axle housing sanded and painted with POR 15
New nose panel never installed.

Interior is in good shape for its age, headliner is removed though, had tears in it, so i took it out, carpet was gone when I got it. Drivers seat has a tear on the piping, and the plastic piece is sticking out on the side.
Lh floor pan needs patched.

Basically,Body needs finished, rh quarter has been patched at the rear, but not finished. Needs the lh quarter replaced, I have the quarter skins.
Also needs trunk floor and tail light panel replaced, I have both pieces, the taillight panel is a Gm reproduction Piece. rusted around rear window on the lh side. Prossibaly why the trunk was rusted in that aera.

I have most parts to put the car together other than the transmission. I have two rear bumpers, and two front bumpers. Have the orignal numbers matching engine.

Ive had this car for almost ten years, working on it when I had a chance. Now its time to move on, let someone else finish it. Dont want to let it go, but im tired of looking at it just sitting around.

Im just trying to get what money I put in it, back out of it.

I have more pics, but cant figure out how to upload here. If interested, send me an e-mail, Ill send some more pics. Also have a few at the following link.

No offers at all? Is the economy that bad? or am I just out of the price range? Just wondering... What are these cars worth nowadays?

It's not our cars, it's Obamaconomy.
Look at my '67 - lower price, rare options, bodywork done & only a few tire kickers

The project cars seem to be especially hard hit.

They all seem to be taking a beating. The problem is, the price to do a resto hasen't gone down. The worth of the final product has gone down considerably.....

There is a 66 GTO 4-speed, post car for sale here near me. The guy is asking $3500 for a complete car that needs a total resto. Been for sale for 6 months and no takers. Maybe we should all ask for a classic car bail out from Osama...
