Default 77 T/A dated W72 parts needed

Good morning everyone!

Building a 77 Y82 4 spd car thats missing her original engine. Trying to put together the most correct replacement that I can. I am in search of a WA block dated November of 76 ideally. Also 6x4 heads and an intake part # 525355 in the same date range!

lol, I just scrapped out a set of heads.
All I have left is a water pump off a w72, and the alum goose neck.

I will get it out today and look, from what I remember it was off a 78;w72.
Heads are tough, no one wants to ship, they were up here for a long time.

I don’t know where your at, but I have a standard bore 77 WA that spun a main. The block would need to be line bored or need shim stock on that main to be saved.

I also have a balanced and fresh machined (.020”/.020” with all bearings) rotating assembly stock stroke 3.75” (for Eagle H beam rods) with 4.15” ICON flat top forged pistons. I used the connecting rods on another engine, would need another set of eagle connecting H beams.

I am in SE Nebraska.

Appear to be later than your car, It isn’t easy to read, but appears to be

E127

May 12 1977

It came out of a 4 sped TA in the KC area that was salvaged.

I believe it's correct part of w 72 package but I might have a 55 amp alternator look.up wallace racing alternator codes. it was my impression that all w 72 cars got the HD alternator .

PHS won't help with the alt part number. Buildsheet would only show the correct two letter code for the original alt then you would have to decode.

Here's the actual '77 model 400 T/A or Formula usage:

1102478 55 amp...... AC or heated rear glass
1102492 37 amp...... non AC
1102854 '63 amp..... AC & heated rear glass

Looking myself for a Dec '76 dated "2478".
Will find one, get into quite a few boneyard stocks.

Look at a buildsheet from another car like yours, I know a guy w/ a data base of them, you can buy a blank one, make one for your car the best you can. PHS isn’t much good.
Without a BS, doing a numbers match car is pointless.
