Bummer that you had to yank the trans out of your finished car! Did you figure out what was causing the early shifting in your first trans?

Also, I like how you have your trans mounted on an engine stand. I was thinking of doing the same thing soon with mine.

Well my trans guy told me it could be the governor and gave me a modified one with different weights but still no change. So he told me it has to be a weak 1st to 2nd spring. not a big deal but still needs to be removed to fix. I found another 67 GTO trans that I swapped out so I could get this done in one day. I can have the other trans totally gone over now by my trans guy. I should of did this in the first place.

Well I guess I got lucky. The replacement trans seems fine. I hate buying things that others claim are rebuilt but the guy I bought it from undoubtedly has one of the nicest 67 GTO I have seen. I can tell he is particular about his stuff and tested him
2nd -3rd shift point just needs to be adjusted
I am hoping the modulator will correct that

Wanted to thank Steve Laughlin ,Tom Szymczyk and the rest of the crew from Delaware Valley Old Goat Club
They organized a great 4th of July show today
I picked up class winner but all the best of class cars were amazing and well deserved
Good job to the Old Goat Club!
