Smile Reproduction of the Sprint Decal

I'm currently in a full restoration of my car.Subframe removed and a full soda blast. All new bushings and body mounts and a good strong rebuild of my original 350 pontiac engine. The car will remain original. It is the 73 sprint on page 4 on www.pontiacventura.com .
I had a graphic specialist take all the measurements and he reproduced the decal for me.
It is exact. I now have everything stored in his computer. All I need is your colours and I can have the stripe reproduced..
The designer managed to get everything exact.Even the width change in the stripe. This was very expensive to do,but well worth it.
I have tried everywhere over the past 4 years and even Stencil and Stripes will not do it. They kept telling me they have thought of it,but not enough demand?

finally, what do you think the cost or a reproduction of the stripe might be, in solid black, and what about the SPRINT for the quarters and trunk?

Smile sprint stripe

I will be going over to the graphics shop next week. I will get some pictures.
He has the stripe completed. it is not applied to the car as of yet,as the resto shop doesn't have the paint applied to my car as of yet.He matched it perfectly.Even the wide section of the graphic that goes through across the door is perfect.Bare with me as the shop is about 40 miles from my home.
As for the Sprint word for the quarters and lid,he match this to a tee as well.
If you can send me a close up of the black stripe I can then see what colours are in it. Is it the same as the lime green/yellow,but just straight black?

My car is a ventura custom but when i repaint it I thought I would put the sprint stripes without the name for something different

I spotted a Ventura Sprint in a boneyard this fall. First one I've ever seen. I think it was a '72.

Default sprint decals

If you guys are still looking for 73 decals there is an email address on pontiacventura.com in the new rides section. I believe the guy who posted his car there said he had them made and could get more.

Default 73 sprint decal

I just received the stripe and sprint wording from my graghic designer.
He took all of the demensions from my car prior to having it soda blasted. He has yet to make te decal in the other 3 colours ,but should not be an issue.
If you are interested in a decal let me know.
This has been a pain staking venture trying to get this completed.
The center of the decal still needs to be cut out to show the colour of the car.

Thumbs up 73 sprint decal

Yes the letters will be cut out to allow the colour of the car to show through.
The graphics shop has not performed this cut outs yet.
The decal will have the center cut out as well.
The black decal was not out lined but the lettering was with the white boarder.
The origianl decal was screened onto clear tape.
This is very expensive to do as I looked into this, they would have needed to cut a screen.
I'm happy with the outcome. It is the pefect match for my car.
The colour may be off a little with the transfer onto the computer.Prior to having my car soda blasted the graphic shop brought out the sample colours to be sure it was bang on. Once they were happy,The proceded to remove the paint and decal from my car.

Default 73 sprint decal

I spoted the difference on the sprint lettering on the red car. It could be one of those things where the car comes off a different assembly line.

I was in touch with my graphics shop. Here is what he sent me this morning. He shows the stripe kit on red. If you were to purchase it ,you would need someome with a good hand to cut out the center red
