Delphi 600 steering gear
Anyone using one? They are 795 at Detroit Speed. Worth the cost of admission?

I took my original 69 power steering gear box to "Turn One" in Saginaw, Michigan and had them rebuild/re-valve the internals for the 2-1/4 turns lock to lock. I also went with the DSE (Detroit Speed) stainless steel universal joint to couple the gear box to the steering column verses the factory rag joint. Well worth the money and effort.

I put one in my '67 a few years ago. Didn't like it at first. I was used to whipping the car around with one finger with the old box, whatever it was. The 600 takes more effort, but is very precise and there is no slop. Now that I'm used to it it's so much better than the old one.
