The Mech Speedo Tail Cups are available as Custom castings for $600 +/- $75 from the Internets.

I'm in process with modifying 2 4L80 Tail cups to include the TH400 Mech Speedo port by welding an aluminum tube into the casting. Will soon have a cost base. Is there interest in me making more (modifying your part)?

Can also drill PMD Flexplates for the 6-bolt Factory 4L80E Converter.

I've seen this tried and still have one made this way. Good luck with keeping it from leaking.

Jake, thanks again. I passed on your original modified housing (offer) because I was determined to DIY without following another one's process. I noticed that Art Carr also did the Tail cup Mod with welding, and figured OKAY THEN if it's good enough for Art Carr ( and you) then it is worth a try on my junk.

Down the road, I hope to need tail housings to help a few fellas out.

Slow yet steady. Have 2 Tail Cups done with MECH Speedo. Will Post pictures soon.

Bead-Blast (for good welds), New Rear Bushing & Rear Seal. I can leave it bare or paint it gray (my usual finish).

These mods were performed on unprepped cups. So the welds are nice but not perfect (like Marcella's work). These will get my gray paint to match the cases. The welder says that the glass bead prep will allow neat & uniform welds.

Future mods will get the process: glass bead, Rear Seal & Bushing removed, cut & weld, clean, Install New Rear Bushing & Seal. either bare or gray paint finish.
