350 cfm head will still make great power with T-88s.

Bullseye T-88s on a Steve Morris Engine made over 3000 hp on a FORD ENGINE.
The Engine used A-460 Ported Heads. (A decent A-460 ported head will flow about 360 cfm).

The engine package was previously a nitrous deal like your situation, BrandX.

Not Really. Harry's (Harry Hruska) "Precision Turbos" are all custom built basically from Billet with only the "bearing support oil feed/drain" being a convention turbo part.

Harry was working out some production issues at the time Steve Morris needed the T-88s so Steve went with the "local" (to him) Bullseye Turbos. Bullseye Turbos and Steve Morris are both located in Muskegon, Michigan.

How do Precision and BullsEye 88mm turbos compare to Turbonetics?

Unfortunately I'm a gluten for punishment, and I would have to pull that trigger very frequently hahaha.

Turbonetics has been in the game for a long time (A guy named Bob Keller started the company and did a lot of things to help the Boost guys over the years.)

http://www.semahof.com/profile.aspx?id=90116

Turbonetics was purchased by an investment firm, as was SpearCo, several years ago. They decide where the money is spent. A lot of time lately has been spent of special government boosting projects vs drag racing products.

Turbonetics has 'helped' Harry H several times over the years and have a very good relationship. Much like the Steve Ames/ Chris Casperson deal.

All that 'history' being said, Harry has been trying very hard to get a Turbocharged Pro Mod Turbocharger in the game. Brad Personett, who worked for Harry for several years,
is trying to win in that game. As you would expect it is a very tough game. The belt cars have a lot of experience in Pro Mod.

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=240364

All that being said, Turbonetics has a long history in the game. Precision Turbo is leading the way in High Hp Turbo applications. http://www.precisionturbo.net/

Either company will do you right.

Tom Vaught

ps 3000 Hp is a good number, Harry told be a while back that he was several hundred horsepower HIGHER than that number on some engines.

Parts are finally starting to show up. Here is the all Pontiac motor plate and very nice header flanges. Got word today that turbos and intercooler are done, and we are just waiting on the wastegates for everything to ship my way.

Looks like your planning to build carbon steel headers? Any reason you didnt elect to use stainless? Have you bought your merge collectors or will you build them from tubing?

I built mine from scratch but on the next set I'm buying a pre-made merge. Way too many hours in them.

Looking at the pic of the header flanges, BrandX, I think I would slot the firewall end of the flanges (like the center holes) and let the header flanges "move" a bit to cover for heat expansion. Just a thought.

As far as the carbon headers, that was something that I thought alot about. I was worried to death about the money it was gonna cost in material, then me tacking everything up and paying someone to weld them up. It made me sick to my stomach to be honest.

Then Travis Q told me stainless wasn't mandatory and he runs carbon steel headers alot and doesn't have any trouble. That made for lots of room for other parts of the project.

As of right now, it looks like I will have under $200 in material and we will be able to build them and weld them up myself. So, that leaves some room for buying collectors and what not. And Tom I agree about the slotting of the holes.

Not a big deal at first for steel. Thats what I did. I do plan on fabbing up another set next season out of stainless. Will change location of a few things.
When you mock up the motor plate make sure to check lowwer radiator hose clearance, had to notch mine for clearance.

We cut the passenger side of the motor plate out and re route it like the drivers side, so it will clear the front exit headers. Had to do that even with nitrous

jeff,
an EE solid layout wont live at significant boost cuz it cant dissipate heat in critical areas. i wont take your money for what i dont think will work- but get a hold of me for other options. you cant be that far-
