I ran a combo a step or two hotter than what you currently have. After a lot of tuning the T2 was almost as fast as the RPM. It was just a tad slower from the 60ft to the 330ft marker. I'd think with your milder combination the RPM would be the way to go.

Paul K comment regarding your milder combination is very appropriate. Down the road with a different cam it might be a different situation, maybe not. This eludes right to my one test with the borrowed Torker II intake as my 462 used for the testing had larger Edelbrock heads and a solid roller cam with quite a bit more duration, and it made peak power at 6000 rpm with the Victor intake.

Not apples-to-apples

Thanks Paul and Steve,
Paul,I plan on doing a cam change eventually, more than likely hydraulic roller, but right now,I just want to do a manifold/carb change.
I will send you a PM after I get a manifold and we can figure out what carb will work.

Thanks guys. Jeff

Sounds good Jeff. I might have a good used RPM on the shelf. PM if you have any interest.
