Help needed
I have the right hand kick panel out of my 69 Catalina wagon and it has a strange gasket on the back that is in need of replacing ,any suggestions on what to use as I cant find a replacement anywhere

Its a thick rubber gasket stapled to the kick panel/ AC inlet on the passenger side but mine is leaking causing the passenger foot well to fill with water when it rains

If water is getting in, I think the gasket you're talking about is not the problem - the interior kick panel isn't the spot where water is kept out of the interior. I suspect it's coming in from somewhere else, maybe a leaky windshield gasket.

Is rain getting in when you are parked or when you drive? The kick panel vent gasket is more about keeping cold air out in the winter, it also helps keep splashing out but that would never be significant especially when parked. I'd look at the base of the windshield for gasket or corrosion issues. Another problem is a blocked drain hole into the front of the rocker. This can fill the lower cowl with water and or a rust through at the base of the hinge pillar allowing water into the interior
