So... radiators. Who is using what these days? I've got 2 '71+ cars leaking and the interchange info is all over the place. I last bought a Spectra in 2012 and it was nice even if the fit was... off and it had that Chevy heater core return tube in it. They list the A-body radiators as the same as the B-body ones and I'm not sure that's necessarily true.

First choice (that is, if you can find one) is a good old fashioned radiator shop that can fix or recore your originals. Second choice - I have a replacement 'triple flow' radiator from U.S. Radiator in my '61 Bonneville, and have been happy with its performance and quality. http://www.usradiator.com

No more local shops willing to do this work (I do some research before asking). All say “just buy a new one.”

US Radiator lists the 4 row for these cars at $642... yikes!

The problem with that is many fold. 2 of which is the repops are thinner and you lose your Harrison markings. There must be someone in your area that does them. Hell, just off the top of my head I can think of 3 or 4 out my way. Keep in mind, not every shop is into that internet thing and sometimes you just have to do the old phonebook thing.

Yeeee Ha. I did not look into prices from that Co. Their stuff on website looked VERY good...probably in the neighborhood of $642.00 good...which is a little too good for me...

Yes, it's unfortunate but those days are past. A lot of people have been opting for the cheap aluminum radiators on eBay, but I think it may be a case of getting what you pay for...I've read a lot of stories about fitment issues and premature failures.

Just as a fyi:

I purchased this Aluminum radiator for my 67 GP. Fits perfectly and if you paint it black, look almost factory. Dropped my temps from 195 to 180.. It's been in the car for 2 years now with No issues. $189.00. Unless you are building a concours correct car I see no reason to pay $500 for some "brand" name. Makes no sense to me.

I have a good local guy in Montreal whose done several for me, about $350-450 CAN ($275-350 US). Owner is the only employee, no problems so far with anything he's done. In 69-70 all A, B and G rads interchange.
