Numbers look good to me. True happiness is wanting what you got.

If he had said this is a max effort race engine that had known parts consumption in a short amount of time it might not be the best numbers. Almost 900 hp and easy on parts I call it a win

I still say that's a good combo. With the aluminum block it is probably outstanding. In a cast iron block like his 'real' race engine, which is 955 HP,

I remember seeing it. Talked to Dave B. about his heads. He was quite proud of them.

You can always say you talked to someone that actually does something.

So much butt hurt in here... all I said was it seem like the numbers were kinda low to be packed so tight...
I'm sure it will be a great bracket engine.. I personally never built a bracket engine.. maybe I'm ignorant...I have always built for max power... I see engines at the same cubes with .3 points higher and medium ported tigers making 960hp at 535ci... what's the big differance? Are tigers that much better?? |

I don't mind the criticism. I'm sure there is more in this combo. Induction side is limited and we'll fix that over time. Just trying to share so others know that with off the shelf parts you can build a nice Pontiac engine that will go 300-400 passes before freshening. At 56 years old I'm not seeing as many Pontiac engine, Pontiac cars at the track and I'm worried about our hobby. Sharing simple combinations might make a difference for the person who is considering a Pontiac engine vs. another Chevy. In bracket racing reliable & repeatable power is key. Ask Jeff Verdi and Jerry Loan. For the price of this engine I could have called Reher Morrison and had a 565 that makes more power. I didn't because that's not my brand. Trying to prevent the Pontiac engine from extinction and supporting Pontiac vendors is part of my DNA. PM me if you want more details on the combo.
