A Tomahawk intake works real well for what you are doing too. Fits perfect for shaker hoods.
Did you ever build that engine you were planing on ?
I have both spacers at the house and I should be able to stack them since I don't run with my shaker on anyways. I've used the tomahawk before - I also have a ported Northwind intake at the house but so far my Performer RPM has been 4 tenths faster.... It wasn't apples to apples though because I did add 1.65's after I took the NW intake off.
I never built another engine - life got in the way of that plan but I will eventually!

I'm hoping the Torker II doesn't kill my 60 foot.

Here is a video from that night!
This is against a foxbody that had a 302 with a 150 shot.

Very Impressive. I've gone from 3.42 to 3.73's rear gear and it never picked up. The 3.42 gear is hard to beat. I've also tried a RPM from the torker 2 with a 1" open spacer and saw no change. I settled on the torker 2 with the 1" open spacer.
I need to try a new convertor. Best we have had a sea level was 10.88 at 122 mph with 3.42 gear.

Awesome results, it will be interesting to see how your car reacts to the Torker 2, I think you have enough gear and convertor it will like it. As you know with mine..the Torker 2 was quicker in the 60 ft than the rpm with a 3200 convertor but it needs the spacers to really work. Its nice you have both to try and to try both together..I'm going to try that this year as well..just need longer carb studs. Good luck!

4 tenths faster, thats quite a bit. The Northwind might be a bit big for what you are doing.
I will be running one on the High Port engine I offered to you. Picked it up here and it was CNC ported by Dave at SD for their 350cfm E heads. Since he has my High Ports he will match them to the intake I have.
Life does get in the way of our cars. They are a luxury, life is not.

E-heads should be exempt from the roll bar rule...for obvious reasons.

Hi John: The rear tires are M/T 28x9x15.

I'm now wondering if a taller tire might help.

I also need a better convertor for the car.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. hadn't noticed..

Hoosier "short" (29.5) 30x9x15 radials will fit and not rub body panels on the big end if you want a taller tire to try.

I appreciate it!
Currently adding header crankcase evac system to the car. Have always fought small oil leaks and excess crankcase pressure with this engine so going to experiment with the evac kit and see how it does.
Torker II / Spacer going on before next outing.
Plans are to swap my stock leaf springs with the calvert mono leafs soon, as well.
Really want to see that 10 second pass!
