If I'm remembering, back in the good old days, someone was at Ark City with a IA-1, tall deck block, 619 inch? Anybody else remember that?

I always understood it to safely be around 600-609..

Damn. I have a IA2 tall deck, but without the raised cam tunnel. Not sure the max stroke could go, but pretty sure not that much.

We ran the Grocery Getter with an IA I with a 4.425" bore. After years of running and various chaos along the way it ended up at 4.440 bore. No cylinder wall issues. 4.50" stroke, so it still wasn't as big as many on here.

That link was a fun read, Chief made a post, saying he didn't have much money, even as a business owner doing HVAC work, which pays well!!! How times have changed for some!!!

If my fellow Pontiac enthusiast was still alive, he would eventually come up with the name of the Large Pontiac engine/car...
