Default 66 catalina and GP core support

Looking to possibly put a 66 GP grill in my 66 2+2.. make it look more like the big brother to a GTO. Has anyone done this? I am thinking i would just need the grills and the nose piece but am being told the core support might be different also. Can anyone let me know ? Appreciate it.

My experience has been with my 1966 Grand Prix and a 1966 Parisienne. The Parisienne is essentially a Catalina body on a Chev chassis. While there are substantial differences in the sheet metal, core support and bumpers in the way they are hung, I fully believe (if I had wanted to), I could have bolted the grill sections from either car into the other car.

In other words, I'm saying I have no reason to doubt you could put a Grand Prix front into your 2+2. Just can't see any reason why the core supports will be different.

Let us know what you decide to do.

The GP has unique:
1. hood latch receiver
2. nose
3. center bar
4. grills with turn signals

Core supports are the same
