Default Cheese Curds

Cheese Curds...where have these been all my life....i went back S Dakota for work and made a bee-line to Burger Time (best burger i ever had post) and instead of fries i asked for CURDS....holey molley they are impressive....salty....fried crisp...sweet..chewy...wow..Ive missed out..i never get them...well..they are on the radar now...

crazy..while up there...i wanted a Chili dog the next night...and DQ has an impressive Chili Dog..its awesome..(its ugly..but tastes like the same ones mom used to make)...and DQ had curds too..and of course i tried them and ..AWESOME.....and i asked around and almost every chain restraunt up there sells curds...

so i tried some curds for lunch today at Culvers....pass....i mean really..i dont want any more from them, thats for sure..

Ahhhh. One of Wisconsin’s food groups! I love curds too. And as Wisconsinish as Culver’s is- I agree, their curds suck!
There is a big difference between cheese curds you buy in the stores, and the ones made fresh that you buy local. The “factory” ones are waxy and not a lot of flavor. The small locally made ones squeak when you chew them and taste a lot fresher. Eat them at room temperature!

The curds have been available, you just didn't find them. For me, living in MN and WI most of my life - curds are just very common.

In defense of the KC area you reside in - they do have quality BBQ as common as cheese curds are in my area.

Around here, BBQ is usually comparable to the cheese curds at Culver's...
