Default Weather

Wow ! This is some weird weather, for Nov 1.

A thick fog just rolled in. The visibility is less than 100 yards.

And the predicted high temp today is around 87-88 degrees, which could tie the record, set in 1935.

And, it's so dry, we're in a burn ban here in most of North Louisiana.

83 in Nashville yesterday, but it was only 72 in Louisville. Both Nashville and Louisville are predicted to break record highs today.

Records highs around here lately. Right around 90 degrees today, the 1st day of November. I've had .04 inch of rain in my machine since mid/late August. I had no measurable rain at all in Sept, the .04 (...that's 4/100th's...) came overnight one night in mid Oct. You couldn't even tell. Even the privet hedge around my property has shed all of it's leaves.
Records are kept around here based on what happens at the Birmingham Airport. The airport received approx .33" of rain back one day back in September.....we got none from that. Our record for days without rainfall (measured at the airport) is 52 (IIRC) and we're headed towards breaking that in the next few days.

Low 60s in Minnesota all this week. We haven't had a hard freeze yet, if that keeps up for another week (and it looks like it probably will) we will have had the longest growing season in recorded history. As for rainfall, we've also had one of the wettest years on record.

Did some work on our duck blind today in jeans and a t-shirt. Didn't even take a gun with me. 83 degrees when I left. Bird dogs think its still summer.

According to Dish channel 213, it's 81 degrees here in North central Louisiana ! I believe it. Worked up a sweat, doing some outdoor chores. It's so warm I fired up my bracket Bird & let it run a while.

According to the Weather Channel there's lots of snow in Minneapolis, and the wind chill Sunday morning is supposed to be near 40 below.

The cold front is suppose to get here tonight, causing 100% chance of rain. Temp is supposed to drop over 40 degrees by morning. Then Monday morning is supposed to be in the mid 20's. That's pretty cold for this area, but nothing compared to the northern states.

That 81 degree temp here, broke the old record of 79, set back in the 30's.

Dish channel 213 is still showing 68 degrees here, at 10:30 pm. We have had only some very light rain. Looks like all the bad weather went to the North of us. But, it's still supposed to be colder, with a high of only 40 Sunday.

Yeah, according to Fox news, we had the same temp this morning as NYC --- 25. We got bright sunshine here, but the temp may not get up to 40, then back in the 20's tonight.

But hey, this is still a LOT better than up North, where they have snow & sub-zero temps.

Woke up today to 27 in Alabama.
By lunch it was 20 degrees in Colorado.
By dinner it was about 70 in San Diego. The folks here are wearing shorts or dresses. And flip flops.
