72 high back seats - similar years?
I am building a 72 TA clone and am getting ready to recover the seats. I have new foam and seat covers on order, but the seats in the car are very, very usable.... just not in a car with new paint/wheels/motor/etc.. Seats were recovered at some time in a correct looking pattern, just sewn instead of factory looking pressed seams.
Point is- I feel bad tearing up a pair of seats that would be awesome for a driver. What other year seats can I buy and use the frames? A friend said I am wasting my time as the old vinyl will crack when it’s used but it seems to be in pretty decent shape. |

I’m just going to recover the seats I have- the vinyl and seams would probably just crack/tear on the old ones anyway
