Default Leaf spring question

I know this has been discussed probably over this forum with different cars but I'm looking for the right Spring for my 73 formula..at least stock ride height or an inch or two lower.. if you have some pictures of your rides and the Springs that you used could you post them up so we can talk about it..thanks

if you don't want stock, Norwood (Craig) has a nice set on his '70 Trans Am. other than that, Eaton sells what they show as the exact stock springs. Having bought a couple sets of the '73 springs, I would buy a set for an Esprit. they seem to, like 99% of places "over arch" the new springs and they tend to sit too high. I like a 119 lb rated spring with very agile away bar that moves and works. Stock rear height was 1/2 to 7/8" lower in rear. All rear springs PRE 1973 are different numbers right and left which I would stay away from.

I believe Classic Industries Firebird catalog has the Eaton part# and specs for all Firebird models with or without a/c and engine type.

another option is PTFB springs. the "GT" springs sit about 1.5" lower than stock & are high quality springs that ride & perform great for handling, probably a little too stiff for serious drag use. heres a pic with 225/70 tires & their ~2" drop front springs. very happy with the ride quality & performance & the ride height is just about perfect.
