The main reason you can't go cruising on the roads today:

1. No one can drive with a level head.

2. Booze and beer. Seems they can't cruise unless they're tanked up instead of the car.

3. They need to burn off rubber from the tires to impress themselves and the kiddies.

Those 3 things are what almost killed our annual Kirkwood Highway Cruise here in Delaware. And it's probably the same reasons for every where else that doesn't allow crusin' the streets

BTW.... it's August 8th this year.

Do I sound like one of the old folks yet?

Was in Springfield MO last July, this week at the first of my son's 18U world series. Seemed like an active street scene with quite a bit of cruising on the east side of Springfield S of Battlefield. One night my son and I slipped out of the hotel to run through a local drive thru 2 miles east of us. It was 10:30 and a fox body mustang had crashed street racing, and there were pieces of it scattered all over the eastbound lanes on thevway back, in what was an old business part of town. One thing I didn't see that evening were any Police, just thought that odd. btw, cruising died at home decades ago.

No, because at least those idiots are prepared; barriers, crowd control and fire extinguishers.

Where is that, Australia? Lots of Holdens it looks like.

That was funny, I don't get destroying your car for 10 seconds of fame. Some of those guys were crashing on purpose it seemed.
