I have posted those photos in the past both here and in a Nostalgia section I moderate on another forum. They are of Eddie Hill. Eddie was as passionate about racing Pontiacs as Arnie Beswick.

Nope, Jim Davis out of N. California.

Here’s an early Eddie Hill car . . . .aluminum frame rails!

Here’s one for you Jack. Fritz Voigt in the flamed car. Neither of them have helmets so it must not be a race.

No, he ran a chassis shop out of Concord, CA. Don’t think he ran Pontiac for long. Went to a single 392. Later on he invented the starter setup used on the front of the blower using a WW2 aircraft starter.
Notice the left side steering and wider rear end than Eddie was running. Eddie always ran the steering down the center whether running single or twin motors.

Default Double decker

Before John Force, this is how someone transported two cars to the track. Injected four on top, blown eight on the bottom. Pickup truck tow vehicle. Perfect.

I downloaded this while looking for places to camp. Colorado river resort near Parker Dam. 1959-60. There's a Pontiac in there.

With the exception of the Pontiac, Buick and possibly a Plymouth Fury behind the Pontiac, it looks like a Ford Motor Company picnic.

Is that a Hilborn set up on the boat to the right?

My uncle was one of the first state highway patrolmen in Minnesota. Driving around in a Model A Ford in northern MN in the winter must have been a fun time.

I liked the Bert Straus car. First time I noticed front lower valance with dip in it. Looks nice. Sure would've liked to 'hear' the Pontiac run.
