Default Where Is The Temperature Sensor Located On 79 Trans Am 400

I have been looking all over the engine looking for the sensor and I cannot find it. I had to replace the radiator. Because the heater core was as old as the radiator and I do not want to tear out the dash I by-passed the heater core. I replaced the thermostat also. The temperature gauge worked before the changes. It does not work now. Thank you in advanced.

Should be in the Drivers head, check to see if the wire came off of it.

Thank you very much. I swear I looked all over the engine to no avail. You are right it is on the left head. Thank you again.
