Default 1962 GP Factory Or Dealer Reverb?

This reverb is right where I want to mount some guages. Was this a dealer option or factory in 1962? See pic

I do not believe the factory would mount any accessory in that position in that way. It just doesn't look correct to me. In 62 "sepraphonic sound" was a factory available option. It didn't mount in that location. Does the unit itself have any markings, dates, brands or any information on it?

All the reverbs I've seen are mounted in the trunk.

On all the 62's I've had the reverb was mounted in the trunk.
