Default 1970 Trans am Fan Spacer

Was wondering what would be considered the correct length of fan spacer for non AC application....with 5 blade flex fan?

Parts book shows a 1 7/8"...and 2 1/4".

Mine had a 2 1/4" installed and there wasn't much fan coming out of the shroud.

Found a 2" on the shelf....and may give it a try....

Also were any washers used between bolt head and fan? (I think not)

Have you looked at the 1970 Assembly Manual? P84.

The 5-blade flex fan seems to call for the #3927793 spacer. Google says that's a 2.25" fella. No washers.

Ok...Thanks...but I already had that figured out...from the parts manual...

No, you said you came up with two and I didn't quote the Parts Manual which is often wrong. I simply provided an extra confirmation that you may not have seen, or else you wouldn't have asked about washers either. Don't worry, it won't happen again.

Well thanks for sharing your wisdom....but YOU were quoting the parts book in one of my other posts.... just last week....

You seem to be an "expert" on these cars......

Have you ever owned...or worked on a 70-73 Trans am....or are we just good at googling?

No one said I'm an expert, I sure didn't. Unless that is someone who goes out of their way to look up info or try to find pics when someone requests something. I do that a fair bit. My apologies for giving you the correct answer and extra information you requested but did not have. That must really suck. No googling, I had to pay for these manuals like many others.
