Default Won't idle

I have been trying unsuccessfully for the last month to get my car to idle properly. I'm finally done with most of my restoration, and have been trying to get the car to run properly in the hopes of putting it in gear for the first time. I've got it starting and running fine at 2000 rpm, but as i go down to idle, it stalls. Timing is about 13 at around 2000 rpm, spark seems good, and it is getting plenty of fuel. Seems like I have a vacuum leak, but I can't seem to find it. Tried blocking off all the ports on the carb, which made no difference. Tried spraying carb cleaner all around, which made no noticeable difference. I was reading in the manual that there are vacuum hoses running to the heater, which I can not find. Can someone tell me exactly where these are? Any other advice or things to look for would be REALLY appreciated.

Almost forgot, it is a stock 65, with an Edlebrock thunder series, and performer intake (figured this would be simpler until I could get a tripower).

why is your timing at 13 at 2000 rpm?
why not 13 @ 800ish rpm.......with out the vacuum hooked up?

The simplest would be to use a Carter 3895S (SMT) or 3896S (Auto) with the stock manifold. All of the engineering has already been done.

1969 GTO, good question. I ran through it again today and I was way off. At 1500rpm, My timing is at 19.8 and the vacuum is around 22 with an ever so slight bounce to the needle( not sure if this is because my harbor freight gauge isn't the best). Once it try to go below 1500, it stalls.

As for not using the stock ones, that would have been my preference, but I could locate any decent ones at the time, plus I fell for the just bolt it on sales pitch.

Check for vacuum leaks where the intake meets the head
