Exhaust system fit quite well! FN389LA
I have put in a few exhaust systems, most require quite a bit of cutting and refitting to work - not so with Ames 1967-68 Original style for Firebirds.
I only had to shorten the down pipe 1": the bends were correct and even flattened for the convertible X brace - Nice work! Only improvement I can see is to include a copy of the dimensions shown in the factory manual for clearance reference. |

exhaust
Very good news. Can I ask is it quieter then the pypes system with Xpipe and street pro mufflers. Any chance you can post a clip. Have been leaning toward a quieter setup then I have currently. Gerry

I have the Pypes X in 2-1/2" with Dynoflows in my Lemans, so that is the closest I can gauge it to. We are waiting for new axles (bad bearing) so it will be late next week till road tested and can give an answer. If quiet is desired I would add the resonators Ames offers in the kit. Customer wanted throaty, not excessive.
