I was wondering the difference between 3 and 4 plug connections
and
how to test them
I have checked several of my a body ones 3 wire plug
by doing the jumper wire on the grounds.... left and right of the center power plug
but
the cracker jack box wiper motors are wired different

I am looking for wiring plug info for the 4 contact style ....

what tab is hot ? I just popped 3 fuses on my bench battery
guessing

Same question here. For a '68 we're restoring. I'd rather use the original wiper motor than the repro version. How to test?

Square and round body wipers are wired differently and as most know the dash switch is different.

Are they different for the 64-67 rectangular style compared to the 68-72 round style? There is a video on youtube describing the operation of the round style but can't find one on the Rearlier rectangular style.

For the 68 Tempest/Lemans/GTO its important to note the difference in wiper switches between the rectangular and round body wiper motors. The round body (Recessed wiper) switch usually costs about twice as much as the rectangular switch. If you use the cheaper rectangular switch for the recessed wipers the knob will be offset when in the off position and the wipers will not return to the recessed position.
Our sponsor as well as some others do make that distinction in their catalogs.

I too am trying to bench test my wiper motor. Would really appreciate it if you could also e-mail me this document. Thanks in advance. Kyle.
