1964 Convertible reverb mounting location
Does anyone have a picture of a reverb unit mounting location in a 1964 convertible (Bonneville) ?
I only have the bare convertible top frame at the moment so I’m not sure where it will provide the best clearance for the top. Much obliged. |

Make sure the reverb works, some can be repaired, some can't. reverb won't work with a converted radio with stereo , the unit is the same height as the cardboard shield that covers the convertible top motor. metal cover for the pump was used until march of 1964, then went to cardboard along with different pump motor number, just in case you want correctness

Thanks for the pics 8Lug, it’s even the right color trunk! (more on trunk paint when I post questions about that red/black splatter)
I can see how it’s important to make sure it’s working before it’s mounted. Once the top is in it looks pretty difficult to get to those rear mounting screws. Speaking of the Top motor cover, I don’t have one. Did you make yours? |

Are host has them. H137A It's listed in the tempest catalog and not in the full size catalog but the expert I talked to said it's only tempest. In fact they are the same. photo shows cardboard and metal cover

That’s some good information there, 8Lug. Thanks!
I’m having some trouble testing my am/fm and reverb unit. Seems like the radio only works when the Yellow 12v in is plugged in to the radio’s Blue pigtail that should connect to the reverb switch‘s blue wire. I’ll start another thread on those issues once I have a better understanding of the problem. |
