Default Will GTO steering wheel fit 68 GP?

I have a custom sport (black rubber rim) steering wheel sitting in my garage and wondering if it will fit my 68 GP??

OK, just wanted to be sure because I thought I heard somewhere else on the web that the column from a 68 GTO would have a different diameter than the full size cars

Default yes it will fit

but.........

you need a 68 collar

68 has a lip on the inside ... picture 2 and top in pic 1

69 has a lip on the outside ..... pic 3

order a 67 chrome or 68 brushed collar

and I think your good to go .....

anyone else ???

Sorry if I high-jack the thread.

Is the horn switch on the 68 GP the same as the 68 Bonneville (2 door bell style switches on the spokes)? If so, what do you do for the contact spring, contact post and turn signal cancel cam?

Scott thx. So now I see the lip is for the diff. diameter. What else do I need to switch over, other than the wheel, horn button/contacts etc.?

unless you want to make it look like a 68

Actually I just have the bare wheel, nothing else. The original one that's on the GP is the black plastic wheel with the clear translucent top half. Like most, the clear part is falling apart. The one I want to put on is like the 69 in the pic below, but with a black rubber rim.
