Default Value of long tail 4 spd?

What is the value of a Muncie long tail 4 spd? One is available and said to be from a 66 grand prix. No claims as to condition. Assuming it is a 50 year old used part, what is a reasonable offer?

Default

Short tails without bellhousings or shifters go from a few hundred up to a $1k for a refreshed one so I’d think a long tail is the same or less.

I seem to recall the long tail linkage is "heavier" than a short tail (I don't know if they interchange.) I know the factory long tail linkage is sought after (maybe because it only fit long tails).

FWIW: Several years ago I bought a 65 Ventura 389 tripower that had a short tail 4spd in it. I bought it and drove it home at up to 100mph. No discernible problems. The car had been passed around by local hot rod types locally for about a year or so and I never heard of it having problems. I drove the car less than 20 miles before selling it to a guy 400 miles away who drove it home. He called me sometime later and told me the car ran fine.
