Default 69 Bird pinchweld molding

I have a 69 bird vert and can help you ID this. You just want the length of the piece, right?

Let me know.

Default pinchweld molding

Excellent,if you just tape a piece of string to the outside edge starting on one side of the car and go around with it,the measure the string for the total outside length(this way you do not scratch your paint or molding) that would be great. Thank you

Default Pinchweld trim

From my '69 'Bird, I measured one of the two pinchweld moldings, both of which are off the car. I placed them back to back and found that they are identical in length, and each measures 55 1/2, or 111" total. When assembled, one piece slips inside the other by about 1", so it would be 110", give or take 1/4".

I hope this helps, but if not let me know & I'll take pics or whatever else you need to complete this task.

Bill

Question

I would like to know how the trim is attached to the body. I have the 10 clips but cannot figure out how they attach to the trim. I also do not see how they are attached to the body. I cannot find any where to attach the clips to the body. I understand that they attach to the pinch welds but I cannot see them. Does anyone have a picture on how they are installed. I looked all over the web and could not find any picture of the installation.
Thanks
