They are a joke to get a hold off. Keep trying and eventually you'll get somebody on the phone.

I thought they'd gone out of business. No?

For the price at OEM you are better off buying a quart from Scott Tiemann and having it put in spray cans if you can't use a gun.

Good advice for this project! Will pursue Scott's blend.

Wondering if anyone has tried the Pontiac engine paint at Firebird Central.

http://www.firebirdcentral.com/Searc...earch=PAI-2025

I can't find any feedback online on it.

I was thinking I would go with VHT SP122 or with Ames N182T, but curious what the best rattle can option is without getting something custom mixed...

I tried all the paint listed in your post and more. None were close
to original paint left on the flywheel and oil filter adapter on my 1971
455 HO. Finally had paint mixed and then my painter still had to tweak to
make me happy.

I emailed Firebird Central and asked them to send me some pictures on an engine. Will see if they can do that or send a sample or something.

torotech paint color is dead on the same a mine after doing the same thing. Taking the filter housing to the paint store and having them duplicate the color. My only mistake was the paint they made was in rattle cans and was enamel and took a long time to dry

Spoke with Scott. He said that all his paint formulas are now with inline tube and to call them. I ordered the paint from inline tube, seems dark to me. Looked to be darker than an area of orig paint on my motor. Maybe I'm wrong ? Any feedback on the inline tube paint

I would try OEM but how to buy? No answer when I call . I have tried all others commonly available (NG) except OER. Any experience with OER ? or OEM?

OEM is a perfect match to me in their code OE62210 if you can catch them when someone is answering, I think it's possibly one man operation and it's a 3 can minimum order. The number I have for them is 760-747-2100

X2 but it sounds they are a problem to get ahold of. I used it on 2 72's and it looks great. One of them is not about 12-13 years old and still looks great and I drive it.
