Not mine. I don't know the seller. Looks good. My bank account is nervous. Someone should buy it so I don't have to explain to my wife.

Thanks,

421s in four-doors aren't that common. It's in the People's Republic of Madison, so you'll probably be harangued for driving such a "wasteful beast"

Sounds good Matt. I'll pick it up and run it over to your place. I might need to crash at the ranch for a day or two or forever, but it'll be worth it. Maybe?

I e-mailed the seller. The asking price is pretty reasonable, so far.

$3500. I really can't bring it home at this point. Someone, please rescue it so I don't see it running around on 22 inch rims and subwoofers...

Yea, if it is solid body, it is a good deal. Boss says I can only have 1 big project car or 2 driving cars. I went with a big project this time so someone would have to store it (hide it) for me till the 65 is complete.

The 63 GP is stored off site, so that one does not count.

That is one sweet car for that kind of money! If it was over here it would be snapped up in a heartbeat. Eight lugs and all..... come on guys, someone save it and entertain us with stories, pics, tales of woe and so on...

I understand that!!! I got sued by the HOA in SOviet Monica when I restored my 63 GP. And I would have lost too so the only solution was to get the car done, which I did in 11 months.

Mike,

I would LOVE to. there's just ONE problem: I'm over 1500 miles away and ANYTIME I mention getting another project car, the "boss" rolls her eyes. That ISN'T a good sign.

No problemo! Just tell her you won it in the lottery. Of course, you had to buy a few thousand lottery tickets to win though.

Funny, but just asking can actualy work. I did and she said ok.....crazy!!! I have been in contact with the seller a few times today. Sounds like a good car for the price. Need some help though. Claims to have a 25g engine casting 134886. Not finding anything about the 134886 anywhere. I don't know if there is a transfer lug or not, but thought as long as this is out there that you guys might be able to help me or anyone for that matter make an informed decision. Here are some photos I got today from him. Looks to have some rust, and some dings. interior is fair to nice from what I have seen. It does look like a repaint car based on the door jambs though.

All in all, it's not all that bad. Congrats on a great buy!

Purchase is not done yet. Just trying to get some info still. If all works out i will go over on Thrusday. If it sells, it sells before I get there. Still trying to make the decision on my end.

If the car is not a 421 car, it would be worth the money, but in my opinion the top end. If it is a 421 car, than it may or may not be an excelent buy.

I should add, there are several people asking about the car per the seller, so if one of you does purchase the car, I would consider it as no harm and no foul. As he stated, first one at his door with cash wins and I tend to agree with that line of thinking with car sales due to so many people never showing like they say they are going to.
