I know brett, I really don't want to sell it. I got some other things up for sale too, so if they go, I won't be in such a bind... Hopefully things will work themselves out and I can keep it, but if not, its back to the old slow 400 for a while. It sucks to be so close.. all I need to finish it is lifters and pushrods

. Honestly, I'm not sure. Dave as SD performance would be the man to ask. I just know that is the standard size valves for that package on a stock block. If you have and aftermarket block, the intake valve jumps to 2.24 I believe.

Don't do it. I was in a bind a few years ago and sold my 463 and regretted it ever since. Put my old stock 400 back in my car. Went from low 11's back to 13's. It's taken me over 2 years now just to get a new motor built and finally I should have it in this year. Building a 600 hp 461. Wish I had heads like yours but I have to settle for mildly ported E-heads. Well, I hope it will make 600 hp.

"Filed and gapped for up to 150 shot of N2O"

Can you fill me in on what that means?

Forged crank?

I'm looking for a 455 shortblock to bolt my set of lightly ported 6X heads to. Yours is more cam than I want though.

They just have a little more gap than a standard ring set to allow for the added cylinder pressure of nitrous. It is NOT a forged crank, just a standard cast eagle crank. Hope this helps, thanks for looking

$2500 for the shortblock.

This is a steal guys. Yes its a cast crank, no its not one of the better blocks. It will never be a high hp , high rpm screamer, but if you have a street / strip car and you want a nice torquey stroker motor, you can't get one like this for this price.. read the ad, look at the peices and do the math. I will not ship.
