Default N2RacingLS1's Formula Survives 280 Foot Plus Wheel Stand

We went to Darlington, SC on Saturday 2/12/11 and had a blast! Car ran its best ever NA run of 10.47 ET at 127.19 MPH on its fifth run of the day.

I then put the nitrous bottle in it and changed the tune. I had also installed a FJO controller that I was looking forward to playing with. I Locked down the front end and went up for a pass and came away with this video! Let me say right off that it was no fun and actually happened before I could even react!

When the car came down it did not seem to land very hard and was still going straight so since I was on the gas as it was coming down I stayed in it and ran a 10.18 ET at 132.39 MPH! I went back to my pit and checked everything over. Marked the back bumper, front bumper and scraped the headers just a little bit. Everything looked OK so I went out and made another NA pass just to see how the car ran and it ran a 1.41 60' foot with a 10.63 ET at 125.24 MPH with the front end locked down. I did not run it to max RPM between shifts so it seems to be OK.

Here are the time slips first one is my NA 10.47 run and the second one is the wild nitrous run. Also here is a cool photo the track owner took of my Formula leaving the line on the 10.47 run!

Thanks the car seems to be doing real good! But I will say I hope it never does that again! Here is the video of my 9.92 run Saturday 12/11/10 at SGMP! The car stayed down and moved on down the track for sure!

I did not get into the 80's but it was sure fun trying for it!! The car produced several new PB on 125 HP dry nitrous shot with a DA of around +1,200. We had a very good trip for our last one of 2010. No doubt with a - DA it would run in the 80's on the 125 HP jets!

Enjoy - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sxuJjpjNOW4

A run like that would make me clean my shorts afterwords. Reminds me at PSN when I blew my Trans and twisted my drive shaft in two at 1/8 of the 1/4 mile. I was actually laughing after the Bang and coasted through the traps at 13.2 for a time.

It was a rush for sure! As far as laughing that did not occur on my end I was too busy making sure the car was going straight!!

N2, I bet you came close to a change of shorts with the frontend in the air. No way to make sure it's going straight like that I bet.

Just hang on.... 'Look out Maybelle... she's a headin fer the rhubarb!'

Well the one thing I had going in the positive direction was how straight the car has always gone down the track! So all I could do was hope this run was like the others!! I will not lie it was nerve racking for sure!!!

Well it was a TNT day so I was not really thinking about reaction time but now that you bring it up it did kind of feel like a hill climb!!

Only one throttle blade on this ride but it is 90 MM’s in size! It was a ride for sure, I kept shifting until I had no more gears to shift in to!

Finally bought a new editing program and have been having some fun getting some video's pulled together from the Ponitac event at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, KY.

Let me know what you all think! I am already looking forward to next year!!
