Ohio car w/ NO RUST? (doubtful)

No Pics? Need 'em to help make a useful guess.

'68 GPs are KICK ASS cars but are love/hate cars esp when $$ is changing hands.

My SWAG: A '68 GP that's running, driving has 400/auto non-air and would have been a 'lot car' when new (standard inventory, nothing special ordered) with some rust (non-structural threat), $4500. My seem a bit low, but that price accounts for the brake job or suspension work that won't reveal itself for six months.

Hope it helps.

Yeah, I like the '68 Grand Prix. Looks like a '68 GTO on steroids. Somebody on the forums has a beautiful Mayfair Maize '68...I think with white interior. Beautiful car.
By the way F ROCK, the GP did the hidden headlight thing before the GTO did.

Seems a bit odd that one would be optioned with a white cordova top and not parchment seats to match.
Me thinks this was a 'lot car' like Matt described. Could be the top was orginally black, also. Black top was much more common with Vordoro cars.

Default 1967 First year with Hidden Headlights

IIRC: 1967 was the first year for GP with Hidden Headlights

I like the 68's...but a lot of people prefer 1st the one year only '67 (only GP convertible yr) then the rebodied '69, '70,...

No I wish, not mine. Picture is from Tour DeWangers 2001.
Great Pontiacer from Cali owned it then (still?) his name is Bill Baugh. (Standing on the right in the photo below)

Here’s another shot of it in the staging lanes at Carlsbad Dragstrip with white top up.

Sorry about jacking your thread there VWmailman!

You could also ask same Q’s about that 1968 GP at the 67-79 Big Pontiac TECH section.

About 2 years ago I passed on a 68 GP with 400/400 in Voodoo green and black top and interior for $2500. Wasn't a 428 or a 4 speed, so I passed. They are like a GTO on Steroids for sure.
