Default 1972 lemans gt - opinions

I found a 72 lemans gt coupe with 350-2 and 3 spd on floor. I attached a few pics. Would apprec opinions on what it might be worth and whether or not you see any problems. It has phs docs and looks decent underneath.

The GTs especially 72 don’t seem to be fetching a whole lot more than a LeMans IMO. They are unique and and have a following, me being one, but not really classified as anything special unless powered by a 455. If you are looking to flip it, needs to be clean and $10k or less. Otherwise total guess would be $15-17k for a nice clean driver is fair.
The car above that 428 posted looks really nice and is a 400 car so there’s a premium there

I have a 70 lemans sport convertible driver with the 350 2bbl so I try to watch the price on the 68-72 models just to be ready to trade or sell to get my next ride... (65s GTO/Lemans or a 63 GP stick... any sellers out there?)
Personally, I like the stick and the enduro front end alot, with the GT stripe option you can count on some extra attention (how many people know about the GT vs the GTO? Im sure its fractional and guess who gets to tell them all about it when they ask!) but other than that its just a nice hardtop driver with buckets. If the paint, body and floors were solid and it had the original drive-train I might go 12K for this.
Keep in mind, You can get a nice 68-72 lemans/tempest convertible for less than $17K all day. So for another 3-5k you can drop the top... check the sold listings on Ebay....

https://www.ebay.com/itm/1972-Pontia...p2047675.l2557

But in the end its all about whats important to you. You'll find out whats important to others when you try to sell it. My car-mentor gave me some advice a long time ago... old cars are work, just buy what you like, it sucks working on a relationship with no benefits for you.

fwiw ,my son and i looked at this car in person when it first became available.im not going to nitpick every fault however the whole car needs to be blown apart and stripped down as the former bodywork is surfacing in many places.the owner seems like a decent guy however .

I find the 72 Lemans GT option unique in that I believe the T41 GTO front end was only available on the 72 GT’s. With the sword stripe it just works...

T41 front end option was avail w/o the WU2 '72 LeMans GT optiion & was fairly common option for '72. Have owned a bunch of '72 T41 equipped LeMans including a 2 door Post Coupe & a wagon.

Sorry, what I meant was out of the T-37, GT-37 and GT’s only the ‘72 GT’s were available with the T41 front end. I could be wrong but believe this is correct?
