Default 74 GTO air cleaner base

On the 74 GTO air cleaner base. Would it be the same as a air cleaner off a 74 Ventura with a 4 barrel carb? Thanks Steve

I would think a 1974 Ventura 4-bbl air cleaner would be the same as a '74 A, B or G-body 4-bbl unit.

The 1974 GTO used a '74 Trans Am air cleaner base.

Agree with ya Mike that the '74 T/A base was used with the '74 GTO shaker asm. The thing is, at least on original '73-74 Venturas with 350-2bbls, the base utilizes a 1 1/2" dropped base for hood clearance. It's been too long since I've pulled engine parts off a '74 Ventura with a factory 350-4bbl, but a '73-74 model 2G Rochestor can't be any taller than a Quadrajet, so one would think the '74 350-4bbl Ventura would also need a 1 1/2" drop base vs the common '74 A-B-G 4 bbls 1/2" drop base aircleaner

On your input, I checked it out.

The 1974 Ventura 4-bbl air cleaner assy. is the same as the '74 Formula 4-bbl unit.

Thanks for the help. Is the part number stamped on the base? Steve

Not stamped, but on the decal on the side. There may still be a date stamp on it.
