I think that's 2 different exhaust ports tested with pipe, just like there appears to be two different intake ports tested?

Just FYI I would not run a 1250 on that motor if your running a throttle stop class

Not much choice now. I’ve already bought it and put it on. I’ll see how it works in a couple weeks in Orlando.

Now I’m curious as well. Came off a Div 3 S/C winner car. But it won’t take but one good day of testing and I’ll know. I’ll get back and let everybody know how it did.

The larger carb on a smaller engine looses signal when it goes on the throttle stop more so than a smaller carb -- causing an inconsistent drop to dead stall -- It can be helped by raising the dead stall but then you end up with way more timer in the box than is ness. also in a lot of cases it will not pull off the stop as well as a 1050. there some variable with an under carb stop vs a linkage stop but that's the story in a nut shell.

The super comp car made it work do to a much higher dead stall is my guess and most have larger engines --- and I suspect a very good driver --

Loosened the converter up to around 67-6800 stall. I’ll know after after first race. May have to go back to the 1050?? The Maxspeed has worked well for me in several applications but I guess I’ll know soon enough,

Jimmy, what was your 60’ times last year? I’m sure I have asked before but like a lot of us I forgot lol.
What was your stop rpm/Cruz rpm last year with the 1050,and do you plan on changing it with the 1250?

My 60s were low 1.80s. I want to be slower than that. My cruise rpm was steady at 4000. I’m going to change from on at .05 and shift at .15 to .05 on and shift at .05 per APD. That should slow the 60 ft some.

Updates?
I hear Mother Nature got her way today so no racing till Tomorrow. But you had to have gotten 3 time trials,I couldn’t find any info on the live timing. Any updates?

Didn’t get it finished until today so I missed Orlando. I’ll do South Ga, Belle Rose and Gainesville all back to back. I’m testing here at home tomorrow. Well see how it goes

Testing went well. I think I can make a few adjustments and I should be close. Throttle stop laid flat. Just have to figure out ratios

Well results are back and I hate to say I saw no improvement. Ran Gainesville and I was still 10.90 @ 151. Same exact speed as last year. Car ran well and was very consistent and predictable but didn’t pick up anywhere. I jetted up and down and had time to try the timing at 32 and 34. I’m at a loss here.?

So let me start by saying that i have no experience with throttle stop racing. But without running it hard where would you pick up? Were you looking to add more time on the stop and run the same? Asking so i can understand, no to be sarcastic.
