Default 3.4/60 degree v-6 tech?

Done alot of surfing & have seen almost nothing on waking up the 3.4 engine.
I have a 4th Gen bird on it's way & am looking to get busy.
Can anyone point me in a productive direction?
And I am not talking about fliping through a Summit catalog or adding a blower.
Thanks

have you signed up to any 60* GM websites?
alot of 3100 and 3400 stuff will work with some work but
if you really want to increase HP look at the 3900.

Default Thanks Cammer

My searches the other day did not lead me to many productive sites & I guess I'll search further.
3.9? I am unfamiliar, this late model stuff is all gnu to me.

I just sold an 06 3900 to a friend whos replacing his 2.8 in a fiero.
he will more than double his HP stock and torque curve is almost flat from 1500-5000.
Bad part is no parts on the 3900 interchange as the bore spacing was increased slightly.
But its a real strong 60* motor and cheap enough to look at replacing your entire 3.4.
As for souping up the 3.4,it would be cheaper to look for a 95+ with a 3800.

the 3900 will require alot of work in a camaro. you will need a custom intake manifold b/c there is no upper plenum for rwd and the 3.4 intake will not work on the 3900. Aside from that, it is a great engine, with the Impala version having DOD technology (Displacement on Demand, cylinder deactivation) for great gas mileage. It was rated at 240hp in the vans and G6 GT, non-DOD.

I specialize in the GM FWD v-6's (and camaro). Contact me via email or PM if you want more info.
