Default Kre Polar Wind Intake

Looks like a nice piece , too big for my combo but looks like it can make some power. Maybe if i get an aftermarket block would be good to go with my highports.

Looks like a runner lenght , Plenum volume and a port area good for a 545 and up cid @ 8200 rpm.

Looks like it would be too big for high ports.

Probably made for the Super Wedge. Maybe they'll be putting in sometime on that head.

I spoke to Jeff about this. This is the cast version of the billet intake they have last year at Norwalk. It is made for 800+ hp. But this will be perfect for boosted application due to the plenum volume. Thanks to KRE for developing a race intake!!!

KRE makes more hard core Pontiac performance parts than anyone. By far, its not even close.

You've got to hand it to KRE, they put their money where their mouth is. I recently dealt with them for the first time and the experience was good. My next purchase may be a set of HP heads
This intake looks like it would work well with a blow through carb/turbo combo, or n/a with a Holley Domi type efi set up.

Steve,
What do you think total intake track length is?

I would guess that manifold is for a very high port head which will have over a 5" intake port center line. I think the manifold has runners that are 5" or more. Which wave refection would you try to tune for?

Does anyone know what the carb bolt spacing is? For 541 ci @ 8200 RPM I would want 1750 cfm or more.

Stan

Stan I have not run the numbers just kind going by first impressions , but over the weekend I will for a 545 cid and figuring on a solid 400 cfm@.800" lift.

That 5 inch runner length you stated looks close Stan!

Steve,
Anyone using that manifold should have $ $ $ in their heads. I would use 475 cfm or more for total intake track flow.
