Uh.......he DID say it was a prototype, "y'a'll", It was probably one of the early 74 proto models that used a 69 body that got through the assembly line by accident!

that does seem like an awfully large collection of pontiac parts to have accumulated for one car, you'd think he'd have separated the parts out that only pertain to that car for the pics

Its Jon Wacholts's car, his last project before he passed. His daughter is trying to sell it even though she doesn't want to. He had a large collection of parts and she doesn't know exactly what everything is but shes trying.

Bummer, John was as good as they come and knowledgeable. Must be rough on the daughter.

Great, now I feel like a dick! My wife will be in the same boat with the boxes full of parts mixed in for my Judge "resto" in the basement, the garage, the attic, the shed, and the storage tent that's been piling up since I said I'd have the car done "next summer". The first time I said that was 1986.

Ugh - that's a situation that is happening more and more these days. The hoarder baby boomers are dying and the family has no clue what to do with all their stuff.

My regards to her and her family.

Sorry to hear the news and meant no disrespect. Is there someone from the board helping family with items ? We have some members that live in the state that would be willing to help. Just asking. Brew

I knew Jon well for many years. He was a great guy. Very sad story. He died from a heart attack/blood clot after recovering from a knee replacement. I even talked to him a week before that surgery at the Jefferson swap meet. I can asssure you that he had all of the right stuff for that car. He was also into 73's and 74's. If there was anything in photos that was NOT correct for a 69 Judge it was likely his daughter that mistakenly took those photos or they were just extra items in the background. John knew his Judges well!
I am pretty sure that his daughter had plenty of local help as well as the regular vultures too.

Also I think its time we do lunch speaking of Beer. Life is to short, Brew
