Default Car Show Pictures

I drove up to the Bass Pro in Olathe, Ks. this morning, about an hours drive north, for an all Pontiac show put on by the K.C. Arrowhead chapter of POCI. This was, I think, the seventh year for this show but the first time attending for me.

When I got there I was surprised to see well over a hundred cars in the lot, I hadn't really expected anything like that kind of turnout. I got to talk with some old friends and Pontiac enthusiasts and see some really nice cars I had never seen before.

I snapped a few pictures before the battery in my camera gave out. The first picture is my car, then a wagon some of you may recognize, and then just a sampling of some really nice Pontiacs.

As you can see I will never make it as a professional photographer but I hope you enjoy the pictures anyway. I would have taken more if I hadn't left my spare camera battery at home.

Nice. Really dig the white Lemans with the dual quads.

I really love the Star Chief wagon. I'd trade my 73 GTO that I bought new for that one. I don't think I've ever said that before.

It was great day for the show, Jim Hand, Rocky Rotella and Tom Wilhite were all there. I was glad I took the day to drive mine up there a lot of nice cars and great people. It seemed to have more cars than last year.

Hey Jeff, yes Jim was there and seemed to be doing well.

Are you aware that the Uprising has been moved from Wichita to Great Bend and from the first weekend in Oct, to Sept 9 & 10?

Anyway I'm planning on going, hope to see you there.

Great showing of really nice Ponchos. Liked the black motor, well done to be different. The 73 or so LeMans with Americans was also nice for a change. That style is growing on me a lot. Hope I don't offend any owners, but a slight bumper mod to reduce offset from body and maybe some shaving of bumper along with losing bumperettes would be a cool stockish style mod if not hung up on dead on correct.

The black engine is Jim Hand's in his LeMans wagon. If you look closely you can see that's not an aluminum intake but his modified stocker.

THX on lowdown Mr Hand! I actually was looking at the intake and head scratched until I came up with cleaned up stocker, very cool indeed. Jim opened up flow a bit I guess also?

Some Pontiacs from a local (Abingdon, VA) show last Saturday. (I know a lot of nice Pontiacs skipped this show to go to the Pontiac Show at Pigeon Forge, TN which is about 120 miles away show )
