Has anyone moved their right tail pipe over and out of the right side of rear facia? I checked with a local muscle car restorer and he recommends using a 2005 rear facia to make use of the factory cut outs, and using flowmaster's 2.5 inch tail pipe mod. He wants $1500. Seems like a lot.

Try asking your question over at LS1GTO.com. Lots of '04 owners over there, and I'm sure there are at least a few who have done this or something similar.

Sounds like a DIY project to me, how hard is it to swap a rear fascia? I would think the tailpipe would be easy enough...

Did that cost include the fascia and the tailpipe?

well you could remove the rear bumper yourself, replace it with the 05 and u might be able to replace the exhaust with a 05 kit from like flowmaster or slp from the cats
