This car is in my possession.

I am curious to know if anyone in the Kalamazoo or Galesburg, MI area has any information about the prior owners of a triple black 1971 GT-37 that was sold new from Jim Gilmore Cadillac-Pontiac Inc. in July of 1971. Car has been off the road since the 1990's, and was owned by a guy known as Keith "Chopper" Gates who passed away in 2007. When we bought it, it was on a trailer on Kilgore Rd and had a 421 with a Muncie 4-speed manual transmission and was in tan primer. The car was black with a black vinyl top and stripes running down both sides when new.

I have tried Contacting the current-day dealer that was linked to the Jim Gilmore dealer, but there is most likely no info on it there. I have gotten a message from the Secretary of State that records before 2006 are obsolete.

I would appreciate any information and photographs about this car and it's prior owners, as I am going to restore the car. VIN# 233371P168039

I am also interested in knowing the whereabouts of its original engine and trans.
