Default 1972 Formula 400

Pontiac Formula 400. Solid, straight car with all original sheet metal. No rust aside from 2 very small bubbles that you wouldn't notice if I wouldn't point them out to you(one is on the drivers rear way bottom of the quarter panel and the other is on the passenger front fender on the very bottom). There is a crack in the center of the hood from one of the previous owners, he must have put too thick of a carb spacer on and didnt check hood clearance and slammed the hood shut. All it did was crack the paint. The paint is a 7.5-8 out of 10, it does have some rock chips, but it has been driven and enjoyed. If someone wanted it to be a show car it would need to be painted, but this is a very good car to take out a drive and enjoy and not be afraid to get a rock chip. Its perfect to take to your local shows and to local cruise nights. It is an eye catcher and gets compliments everywhere it goes. The engine is a 400 out of a 76 trans am. It is bored .030 over, has 1972 7k3 cast iron heads, comp cams xtreme energy 268 cam, double roller timing chain, comp roller tip rocker arms, dui hei distributor, Fitech fuel injection, longtube headers, march aluminum serpentine pulley system, factory air conditioning system with updated compressor(needs to be charged) 4 core radiator, dual electric fans, chrome all over, remote oil filter, and new power steering pump. Has TCI street fighter 700R4 overdrive transmission which makes it a treat for long drives on the highway. (gets about 16mpg if you drive it nice) Factory 8.5 10 bolt rear axle with new 28 spline axles, new auburn posi, new 3.73 gears, new bearings and seals. Has traction bars and suspension was all redone with upgraded components and bushings before we bought it. 15x8 cragar ss wheels. 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust with flowmaster 40 series mufflers, H- pipe, exhaust cutouts with electric dumps. interior was all redone before we bought it by a custom interior shop. New headliner, carpet, panels, everything. Has the pontiac arrow stitched into the center of the back seat and "72" in flaming bird stitched into the back package tray so you can see it through the back window. Auto meter old tyme two gauges, b&m mega shifter, pioneer stereo, and 2 10" jl subs in the trunk with a jl 400 watt amplifier. Since I have installed the rear end gears I have not gotten a chance to install the new speedometer gears in the transmission, I have everything here including the gaskets, it just needs to get done. Its a great car and is a heck of a lot of fun to drive. My dad bought it for myself and him as a father son project when i was 12 and we had a blast in it. I bought it from him 2 years ago and its just at that point now that we have had our fun with it and its time for someone else to enjoy it and for us to start on a different project. I love the car, its a very tough sale as it will be hard to find another one. But its time to move on. Have a file with all paper work on the whole car including the PHS documentation. Located in Beulah, North Dakota. $20,000. Any questions give me a call or text 701-880-0827.
