Default 1968 GP 4-speed, 8 lug, 428 car w/ 455 now - not mine, just interesting

This guy has this listed under parts rather than in the cars section, so it's somewhat hidden. Might be a nice project for someone. I can't believe there were too many 68 GP's with a 428 / 4-speed combo.

if it sells, the guy is going to be pissed when he has $700 in fees for not selling it as an auto but as parts. Maybe this section is the same but I don't think so. (figuring 10% ebay and 3% paypal)

Even though they are rare, they are out there. Looked at a 428 4-speed, 8-lug version in Vedoro Green a few years ago. Running, driving version. $7500.00. It needed a full restoration but everything was there and basically functional. They are way under-valued wonderful cars IMO. At current values, that looks like a parts car to me. Tons of one year only parts on them makes these cars very expensive to restore and peak value just isn't there.

Couple on Hemmings: https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds...&year_max=1968

One guy claims they made only 195 of them. But that was the HO engine. 360 HP regular 428 like the one I looked at were far more common. 45K seems like a dreamer's price but I am generally wrong. I could easily see spending 40K on the one for sale to bring it back to that level though.
