My cell camera is terrible, I went with a less expensive phone this time, sick of being robbed every 2 years. Funny how some 'issues' I have coincide with phone 'updates', and usually near the end of a 'term'.

I've been taking 2, 3, or even 4 pics to make sure I get at least 1 good one, and even that doesn't always work. So yeah, I understand about it being a job!

As an update a few small pieces of progress with this, he did a few things on his own, some cleaning/priming and last PM we put in a new heater core and installed the AC suitcase. we need to begin the blocking process and get it ready for jambing and actual paint.

No vinyl top, it would be cool with black, and tuxedo interior.

He is doing well we had to build him a truck which we just finished so he can get to work after school. He is working for advance auto. We have the body sorted out for the most part but I need some weather break to put an final coat of primer on. We put the dash in and I am still waiting on the seats. Driveline is mostly done and we have a set of wheels we need to do for him 15 inch rally wheels for now.

Nice! Yeah, I'm still chopping away here & there, work is taking most of my time, and the garage has no heat. Uhg. But it's very close!

Yeah, weather, and life, can get in the way!

I have a heater, but it takes so long for it to heat the garage, and the concrete is dang cold to lay on. Getting old I guess! Heheh!

So yesterday we put a coat of high build on to block out, we are once again making some progress. His daily driver truck and girls seemed to side track him for the last 6 months but he is back on it. If he did not I told him it would move to the back of the garage lol.

What's left to do on the '71? And what kind of daily driver truck is he driving?

The final block out and paint then reassembly including interior install, still have to drop in a dist and fire this baby up as well, clutch linkage, exhaust and that is about it. I don't have exhaust for him that is about all that is not here as of now. He has an 03 chevy pickup that we grabbed for him has a GM long block with about 30 K on it, but we battled the rust issues, fenders doors, cab corners and rockers later we are good to go.

So the blocking is almost done and he will be ready to jam and move on. He is sellign the truck he has built to but mommas old Charger RT (it is a 2011 AWD) so he should have less distractions to turn a wrench on. That said in a couple of weeks he goes to college and this becomes a holiday project or Dad just tying up the loose ends. I have been distracted building the SD motor and working on my daughters new Formula ( a real nice 74 400 car). She may in fact be more passionate about this all than he is, she has been pushing hard to get her car in the garage and rolling. Luckily her car is a running driving decent car.

Gonna have to see some pics of your daughter's Formula! Do you have a build thread on that one, too?
