cost to install spindles
What would be a reasonable price to have a shop install a pair of drop spindles in a '67 GTO? Does $250.00 for labor seem high or about right for the job? (Hate to admit it but I'm just too lazy to do it myself myself these days...)

Labor rates in SoCal run between $80-130/Hr depending on the shop. Thats 2-3 hours worth. You didn't mention if it was a chain operated shop or a local business.

If it includes an alignment, I'd say it's more than reasonable.

I know I personally wouldn't do it for $250.....that's chicken feed for a job this dirty and labor intensive. $500 would be more like it, including the alignment.

Thanks for the info, I'll pay the $250.00 and be happy. The drop spindles themselves ran $125.00 the pair which seemed reasonable. The alternative would be to cut the springs down but I think that would make the ride rougher and the labor would probably be about the same. Thanks again.
